Have you ever experienced being bullied or seen others get bullied on a forum? What would you do if you experienced this?

I have been bullied in a forum and I left it. I have never gone back to that forum. I have also seen people being bullied but sadly I could not come to rescue that person.

Bullies are just cowards who hide behind their keyboard pretending to be the savage that they are not. I know how to put people like that right in their place.

I’m sorry to have read that you were bullied in a forum. It is good that you left. It is always very difficult to watch someone being bullied and I have also had my own fair share of it too. Some people just lack respect and manners.

Yes, it is just common t be bullied online as in the real world. In fact online bullying is more common than offline bullying as there is no mechanism to book to bullies.

It's normally the big active forums that have the bullies.
I've personally never been bullied on a forum even if I did it would be report straight away to the forum staff.

I've been bullied as a newbie member on big forums where cliques run the community.

Typically, I stay away from big forums unless I know the crowd.

I run a group on FB with nearly 50,000 members. Bullying is one of those things I will ban on sight if I see it happen. My group is pretty friendly and free of drama because we are on top of keeping it that way.

I've been bullied as a newbie member on big forums where cliques run the community.

I wouldn't say bullied by cliques on a forum, but not taken seriously by more senior members.

They would also often divert the topics (I tend to believe on purpose) as they would really only remain in the "community chat" thread, coming out once in a while to completely derail other threads, which was even more annoying.

I don't remember seeing myself getting targetted by anyone but small things do happen here and there
