Does anyone know of more forum mods for WordPress (known mostly for blogs)?

How do you feel about forum mods for WordPress? How would you compare them to other software? How do you feel about them overall?

My take is that I haven't had enough experience to make a comment, but I have been on a WordForo forum before and it wasn't bad.

I tried bbPress but I did not like. In my experience wpforo is really good. The first public forum I ever built was on wordpress through wpforo. I have also used Asgaros forum plugin, and it is also a decent plugin for forums on wordpress

There are so many forum plugins for WordPress. We have BBpress, Wpforo and so on. I've only used Wpforo before and it was quite good but we can't compare it to phpbb. Phpbb is superb.

I’d honestly go with Discourse or Nodebb instead of Phpbb. They’re a lot better and connected to the fediverse, so your content will reach more people. Phpbb’s base software isn’t good for seo and is missing a lot of functions that are great for seo.

Nodebb and Discourse are similar to xenforo in that aspect.

That's good information. I would like to use those softwares as well. What about SMF? Is it good for SEO?
