discuss Zoom or Google Meet?

Mostly for meetings, it's either Zoom or Google Meet many companies use for such purpose. Zoom became very popular during the time of coronavirus outbreak as a lot of companies had to close up but still need to work online to keep the business going. Google Meet also became frequently used at the same time too but Zoom can host more users than Google Meet.

Which one is your favourite between using Google Meet and Zoom?

Google Meet and Zoom

I think it was called Google Hangouts at the time, but I much preferred that as it was native to the "Google" (G-Mail, etc.) ecosystem to easily meet up and collaborate on documents at the same time as the meetings would be going on.

I prefer Zoom for meetings. The platform supports large user numbers which is a benefits to companies and conferences. Zoom gains superiority because of the screen sharing features and recording functionality it has.

I'm a fan of Google Meet. This system offers a basic interface which minimizes technical problems that user might encounter. The participant limit of 50 people in Google Meet should satisfy so many organizations.

I have used Google Hangout, but not after the rebranding to Google Meet. I like Zoom better.

The first time I used Zoom, it was for a session on Cryptocurrency trading. The video quality wasn't that very good but maybe it was as a result of my poor internet connection.

When I used Google Meet, it was way better than how I felt using Zoom. Since then, I choose it over Zoom.

I used to have a separate Google Meet app but recently after their last update, I now have access to it through my Gmail app. It makes it so much easier to use whenever I have need for it.

I prefer zoom by far. I can count the number of times I have made use of Google Meet, very few. But back then no day will pass without making use of zoom for one meeting or another.

For personal video calls, I don't make use of zoom or even Google meet for any reason whatsoever because I can easily do that with my WhatsApp. But when it comes to official meetings, it is going to be mostly Google Meet or Zoom.

Yeah I actually mean official meetings and programs. No organization will make use of Whatsapp video call as meeting point

Same here. I’ll just use facetime or facebook messenger if someone needs to do a video call.

It is definitely going to be too much hassle for me to start trying to tell someone to use Google meet for our video call when we can actually do it easily with apps that are more convenient for video calls on a personal note like WhatsApp.

I use Google Meets more simply because it can easily integrate with other apps in the Goggle workspace ecosystem. I don't fancy zoom as I feel it is just hype. I would even prefer a meeting on Telegram than Zoom.
