How do you feel about WordPress as a blogging platform, the thing it's normally used for? How would you compare it to other blogging platforms? Do you have any favorite mods or themes you'd like to mention?

My take is that it's excellent, but I haven't really messed with other blogging platforms, aside from some blogging script that came with GoDaddy hosting (way back around 2008).

I have tested with Ghost and Hugo but I don't think anything can replace Wordpress for blogging. I first used it as a free blogging software back in 2012. Later, I started using it on article publishing site. I have been using wordpress content management system on my self hosted websites since 2015.

Virtually everybody likes WordPress because it's a very versatile blogging platform . I like it because of the various customization options and the community support. You also have access to many plugins and themes to design your blogs the way you wanted.
