Many financial institutions are encouraging their customers to embrace biometrics because they are less vulnerable to attacks. Biometric technologies include facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and voice recognition. Will biometrics replace traditional login methods altogether?

Traditional login methods present serious security weaknesses that should gives me great concern. Scientists have developed three types of biometric systems that works well for me. They are facial recognition, fingerprint scanning and iris scanning which provide higher security levels. Each person has distinct biometric data which makes it extremely difficult for attackers to duplicate or steal our information.

Traditional login methods have reached their end because they are no longer adequate. Biometrics enhance our security efforts. The good thing is that it delivers effortless access to users in addition to their protection capabilities. By adopting biometric security all users can easily eliminate the need for difficult passwords combined with time-consuming two-step verification.

Some people are not comfortable with using biometrics to login because they believe it can easily be manipulated and I agree. There are some things I prefer using the traditional login method over using biometrics. Right now, I had to deactivate using biometrics to unlock my phone.
