The article lists good arguments, but it still seems like Trump supporters would have 2nd thoughts about annexing Canada, expanded gun rights to criminals, and Gaza, though.

From a conservative and liberal perspective, how do you see this?

This is what they call loyalty! Despite the fact that they do not agree with some of his policies, they still feel like he is fighting for them and that's what loyal supporters do. Emotional connection can be strong enough to outweigh disagreement on some issues.
