My father, which is also my best friend. We chat and do things with each other consistently. He knows the deepest secrets of my life, and I know his. I can safely say we've been close for 34 years since the day I was born.
I'm very close to all of my family members. We are not many which is why it's easy for me to keep close relationship with my 2 brothers.
My sibling—we share similar interests and have always supported each other.
I have this niece who lives in the US. We communicate sending emails but we have not visited each other for years.
Well, I like my parents but I am closer to my siblings than my parents. That's because my siblings being from the same generation and seen similar things in life understands be better than my parents.
I am closest to my mom. I have always been a mommy's favorite from the start. My mom is one person that I can say loves me without any judgements. She is the person I can bare my vulnerability to.
Unfortunately, I am not close to anyone in my family. I have always been on my own since the young age. I prefer to keep things to myself and I don't share my secrets with anyone. I just don't see the need. My sister, although, is the closest to me but I still find it unnecessary to share some things with anyone. I prefer my own company.
I'm closer to my family made here in Japan than relatives back in the States. Time zones make it difficult to stay in contact.
I haven't seen extended family in over 10 years, but I am going back with my 13-year-old daughter in July so my mom can finally see her granddaughter (for the first, and probably most unfortunate way of looking at things, perhaps the last time).
