People don't even know Discord at all in my country. WhatsApp is almost the most popular chat messenger in my country. Even Telegram is far popular than Discord over here.

I think you have got it spot on. There are times that I go for a whole week without having any notification on Discord. And most people experience the same thing too. That's because activities level on Discord is quite low. But most people have to do stuffs with WhatsApp at least three times in a single day.
