off-topic What's the most important thing you've learned from a failure?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Failure holds no permanent damage for me since I believe it creates opportunities for better things to come. Failure typically leads to an improved situation in life. Starting my business proved unsuccessful yet became the perfect lesson for teaching me the value of continuously trying and adjusting myself to different situations.

Failure offers me the possibilities to refine my present strategy along with new goals. I lost my desired internship sometimes ago and then I understood that my focus had been off target towards inappropriate skills and experiences. This failure signalled to me that I should transform my strategy for gaining a better skill. So, I had to shift my priorities.

The most important thing that I have learned from a failure is never to do anything based on assumed premises. I learned that the impact of failure is minimal if you had covered every side than lean on assumptions and everything crashes wholesale.
