off-topic What is that thing you are addicted to?

When I was young, I loved to play games. When I closed from school I would go to a game house and spend the rest of the day there. I knew I will be in deep trouble when I get home but I still do it anyways.
I later realized that I was getting addicted to video games, and it was having a negative impact on my academics.
Thankfully, I was able to break free with serious discipline and punishment from my parents.
What were/are you addicted to?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had a similar experience, but in a different kind of way. I was obsessed with movies, and I neglected life responsibilities. I learned the hard way because I lost something precious due to my negligence. Now I do it moderately.

I have also had my fair share of addiction and mine was my phone. But we need to make sure that it doesn't hurt our life. If it does, then we need to make a change. If you're struggling to quit, seek help from people. That way, you can maintain self-control.

Addiction is a big word for me, I am not addicted to anything. I like to watch TV shows, I can even watch for 7-8 hours but I am not addicted. I also like to play games but I am not addicted to gaming. I do not even have substance addiction

I don't know how I was wired that it is very difficult for me to get uncontrollably attached to anything. There is nothing in this world that I can't control myself over. The closest thing that I can say is something that I always want every time is sex but if I can't find it, I would be fine.

That certainly sounds like an addiction. If you want to do something no matter what it takes, it is an addiction.
