discuss What a season Victor is having!

A thread for live match analysis, player performances, scores, highlights, fan predictions, and general sports discussions across all sports.
Most definitely Barcelona. He will keep raking in the numbers as there are good players that can feed him great assists.
Barcelona can't afford to sign him next season because they have Lewandoski in their team. Victor Gyökeres can't be a back up striker in any team and Barcelona doesn't play strikers.

Let's be honest, lewandoski is already past his prime. Barcelona needs a younger pair of legs up front. I don't think they should depend solely on a guy who's almost 40 years old.

The other thing that you failed to mention is that Barcelona is currently not financially buoyant to spend more than 50 million euros getting Victor. That is a major issue for them.

He's not playing like someone who's past his prime. Bayern Munich want to do everything possible to keep him but he said he needed a new challenge and it's what led him moving to Barcelona.

I agree. They might be able to pay for him but can't meet up with La Liga financial rules to have him registered.

The issue with Barcelona is registering players that they paid high for. I wonder what they are going to do to correct such. Do you have any ideas on what they need to do about that?

Iris one thing for him to get a big club to sign him and another thing for him to replicate the numbers there. We have seen numerous players tear up lower leagues only to go flop when they take the step up to bigger clubs with more pressure. I believe Gyokeres should not go to a very big club like the elite European team just yet. He could go to a team that always around top 5 in the major European leagues like ATM, Napoli, Milan, Dortmund and the likes. Then, he can make the step up from there.
