Asphalt 9, Need for Speed and Gran Turismo are good racing games I have played.
Sonic racing was the last vehicle game that I played. I also enjoyed Need for speed.
I've played some construction and truck simulation games myself. Although I enjoyed them, I never got very far in progressing through the stages.
I can only enjoy racing games if I have a steering wheel with some sort of haptic feedback to feel as if I'm actually driving.
Not too strong, like on arcade racing machines, but strong enough where it makes it more realistic to "feel the car", if you know what I mean.
A full racing rig with seat, pedals, shifter, and full movement to feel some of the G-force output from the game would be nice, but a tad too pricey, and I don't think my wife would allow it in the living room.

I play a few racing games and my favorite ones are Forza Horizon and Asphalt 9 Legends. I play Forza Horizon on PC and Asphalt on mobile device.
Yes, I love it, the first vehicle game I played was obviously Need For Speed and I'm currently playing Forza Horizon, I love it!
