I'm American and despite not even being a liberal, I see this as one of the dumbest ideas in US history. What do you all think of it? Will it come thru?

You might have a change of opinion if you find a citation to that and read what he actually spoke aloud.

It doesn't mean he didn't say something dumb, while thinking of ways to remedy the virus, but he's also not a doctor and it was a thought made spontaneously out loud that was posed to the medical community, made in a public setting, for doctors and scientists to look into.

It was still a dumb thought to be made to the media and should've still been behind closed doors with advisors, but that's absolutely not what he said, or close to it.
