discuss The stuntperson behind the action scenes.

This is a thread to discuss anything related to movies.
I'm in support of the stunt performance gaining more recognition but I think they are paid for the job. The recognition is just like a cherry on top and it is just a matter of choice depending on who they are acting for. Nevertheless , they could be included in award ceremonies to highlight their skills and the risk they are taking in the film.

What do you mean by go unrewarded? They do get paid, and their names appear on end credits. Some actors even go forward to reward them personally.
Sometimes, just getting paid is not enough, for life-threatening stunts that their perform, which the so called "heroes" cannot even imagine doing (but end up on stage with a trophy), deserves better public recognition in my opinion. All soldiers are salute-worthy, however, we have medals and highest awards for a reason.

They do have insurance, right? In the entertainment industry, they give more importance to face value. That's because they pull the crowd, they make money for the producer/investor. People don't watch movie because of stundman or lightman, they watch movies for actors.
