Book by Gautam Bhatia - The Indian Constitution - A conversation with power.

Its an ideal read for students of Indian constitutional law and those international law graduates who love comparitive study of constitutions across the world. Drawing from the Kenyan Constitution and that of India, the book explains how federalism, power distribution, guarantor institutions and courts understand the idea of power and the landscape of law and judicial interpretations has created a centralizing state within many constitutions.

My rating: 9 in 10

When my home country was drafting constitution, the lawmakers took Indian Constitution as an inspiration. I have never read Indian constitution but I hear it is the longest constitution in the world.
Yes.

Mainly because the Indian constitution makers thought that nothing should be left for discretion and everything must be coded so that the system is neither too tight nor too loose.
