I always tell people that above anything that is needed for a successful relationship with anyone, mutual teachability is very important. With it, you would learn to understand the other party. With it, you would try to adjust to fit into what the other party wants. I think that teachability is always overlooked but it is a vital aspect of every human relationship.

A person might not be the perfect person, but when the person is teachable, it would be easier for the person to grow and be the perfect person. I would rather take a teachable person for relationship, work and other endeavours than a prefect person.
I think anyone that is not teachable would not improve to be a better person. That's why I hate to get entangled with rigid people who can't adjust. I doubt they would be able to maintain a good romantic relationship with rigidity.
