discuss Should We Alter Human Genes for a Better Future?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
I think we should never do it unless we can ensure that there is income inequality.

Now, genetic studies are getting way too costlier and only the rich can afford it. In such an instance, think about people who cannot afford it. Where would they go and what would they do?

Additionally, genetic alterations damage genetic pools beyond repair.

The chance to remove diseases by means of genetic engineering seems to be so thrilling but we must approach such advances with great care.

The issue surrounding genetic modifications is a very sensitive one. So, it is crucial for genetic engineering operations to follow specific standards and policies in order to maintain a safe community and to guide them through the process.

I'm not opposed to the application of science to help humanity. However, there should be ethical considerations in what we are doing. We have to think about the future impacts on different groups. It is good to use genetic engineering to cure diseases that have defied all attempts to cure them. However. I do not support the idea of using genetic engineering to enhance intelligence or physical features. By doing that, we are creating a different species that humans may find difficult to control later.
