discuss Should Vitinha be considered for Balon D'Or?

A thread for live match analysis, player performances, scores, highlights, fan predictions, and general sports discussions across all sports.
Suggesting Vitinha for Balon d'or is a bit much if you ask me. Yes he was instrumental for PSG in their UCL triumph, but so were the other players. I don't think he did something so extraordinary that he should be up there.
Another thing I don't understand is why Desire Due is suddenly among the contenders. Because he scored 2 goals in the final? Oh please!

The list for those chasing the trophy is also unbelievable. So, suggesting that his name be added is not what you can say that I am saying too much.

Call it a midfielder bias but that's what I think of if it's not only goals that's being considered as a requirement for winning the Ballon D'or now. I will definitely give it to Vitinha.

He was fantastic in the UCL and also played really good in the Nations League. I believe he should be given the award as one who's won a lot of trophies last season.

Vitinha has had a standout season with PSG, contributing 9 goals and 5 assists, and playing a pivotal role in their Champions League triumph. His technical prowess and consistency have earned him a spot in the Ballon d'Or top 30, a significant achievement for a midfielder. While he didn't win, his recognition underscores the growing appreciation for midfielders in the Ballon d'Or race

He can still play his way into the top 5 at least. The timeframe for deciding winners is still ongoing as far as I am concerned and with his form, there is a lot that can be achieved.

The performance of Vitinha makes a strong case for him to be recognized for the Ballon d'Or or probably be considered to win the Ballon d'Or . He’s got the stats and the skills needed to be recognized.

Rodri won it doing all these things that Vitinha is doing right now. So, I won't even be surprised if Vitinha becomes a major contender for the award.

Yes, it's the reason why I believe he deserves the award. Look at his contribution to Portugal beating Spain, the game changed immediately he came on.
