discuss Political Bullying

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
For instance, you can post stuff on social media, speak your mind, all of that, and soon enough some punk will try stir up something with you.
What opinions are you stating?

It would be interesting to gauge whether more hate is coming from one side than the other, you know, from the party of love.

Yeah. It's all over social media, but you talk to the same people in town, face to face, they're different.

I don't give my political stance. I mean, I'll share my opinions, but I won't say who I vote for. It's no one's business.

Some might think I lean one way but then see I lean another way on a different topic. That blows peoples minds, too. :P

The only way I see change happening, in the way that I want it to, is not by
share[ing] my opinions
but also by
[by] say[ing] who I vote[ed] for.

A lot of people were reluctant for Trump because of so much opposition. Imagine if people were more open about it...

The same could be said for the Harris-Walz campaign. If people were more vocal, perhaps they would've won.

Political bullying is very predominant on social media. I have also been attacked on several occasions just by saying my mind on political issues. I've been insulted and attacked by so many people because my opinion is different from theirs.

In this situation, I stay calm, focus on the issue and always try to avoid exchanging words with them. I think social media needs more censorship and it needs to promotes respectful dialogue..

My view now is definitely independent, but some friends and family won't have it.

To hell with them.

They're not your dictator. You have a free will and a right to choose whatever political affiliation you want.

If they have a problem with how you vote, then they're not people who care about you and your right to be a free thinker.

Those people are what's wrong with America and democracy.

Yeah, I'd like to be a Republican, but I don't think the Canada (tariffs and emasculation) and Gaza thing are good moves.

Politics has gotten very much out of hand for sure when it comes to people having their own opinions and decisions. There is too much of "You don't agree with what I believe or my opinion so you are wrong" and that is the biggest problem.

I keep myself to myself and don't tend to get into any confrontations when it comes to politics but many just can't help themselves and it's like a bull to a red rag.
