After the onset of the idea of multiverse, we have seen that the plot ideas are becoming very complex. I have this common view that when you touch the space-time continuum the story gets too complex that it makes no sense to watch this.

For example, the Avengers Franchise lost its steam because they explored too many universes that interconnect each other at various points making it difficult for people to remember all the plot lines.

I see this multiverse thing as a loss of human creativity. They don't explore new concepts, new characters, but continue to work on the same stale ideas. They are just trying to bank on their successful projects.

When applied recklessly the multiverse concept has the potential to become overwhelming to the audience. The Avengers franchise showed clear examples of how many unified plotlines and timeline structures eventually became severely confusing.

The use of multiverse within stories involves high risks for story development and the message delivery becomes cumbersome and so confusing when poorly handled.

To this day we are all waiting for the multiverse to be 1% of what they said it would be.
