Do you think switches that work based on the motion detection are good?

To me, I find them particularly irritating because there might be times when I dont want light or when we have conditions that can be exacerbated with light. My wife head migraine when she sees the bursts of light and she cant stand a room with motion activated light.

Besides, do they provide good energy efficiency? Dont know the statistics.

I haven't got any motion detection switches, but I can see how they would be great for needing light, especially at night when you need to get up to use the bathroom or even to get a drink.

I will have to take a look into motion switches as they could be ideal in my house, my kids are always leaving lights on in rooms they are not using.
