discuss Mission: Impossible the TV show

The TV show, Mission: Impossible though quite resourceful has not been able to achieve that much popularity as the movie franchise. The multiple seasons could not keep up the viewer's interest and probably failed to impress the audience at some point. Are you a fan of the TV series? How has been your experience?

I didn't realize there was a TV show for it.

I am not sure of today's generation would be interested in watching the show that was first aired in 1966.

Not unless they have Tom Cruise in it. Today's generation is accustomed to watch Tome Cruise in Mission Impossible. If the TV show does not have Tom Cruise, I don't think people would be interested. Interestingly, the movie is based on the TV show.

I remembered watching this film in the early 90s but it I heard that it was originally aired from 1966 to 1973 on CBS. It's a very old but interesting show.

The first Mission: Impossible TV show aired from 1966 to 1973 on CBS. It had seven seasons and 171 episodes. The second series started from 1988 to 1990 on ABC which had two seasons and 35 episodes. Both of them was what inspired the movie adaptation Tom Cruise led for over 20 years.
