Do you think leaving home at an early age, as we see a lot of teenagers and youngsters nowadays doing, leads to weaker family ties? Some leave for education while others go away from home at an early age seeking better jobs, whatever the reason may be, do you think being physically away from home and seeing your parents or family a lot lesser leads to detachment and weaker bonds?

Not necessarily, it depends how close the family is. I wish I could have left home early. I wasn't allowed to leave home at all.

The bond in human relationships is not in proximity. It is in the connections that the family members have running between them. If that connection is strong, leaving the family at anytime won't affect the family bond. That connection is always instituted by parents at an early age.

Leaving at an early age can affect the family bond but if there is constant communication and we put in more effort to stay connected against all odds, it can maintain the strong family ties despite the distance.

In this fast changing world, where growth never comes from the same comfort zone, I think it is important to note that we should leave our house and pursue our own life sometime and its just inevitable.

However, if the family bonds are weak, this process is either accelerated or is scarred.
