I totally understand the fact that one can be overweight/obese due to different reasons and so will need clothes of the right size to fit them. However, of recent I feel that instead of dealing with primary problem (excessive weight) as that can be dangerous to one's health, people are proudly resorting to plus size stores, shopping happily not worried a bit about the health risk they are harboring. Do you think plus size stores are demotivating weight loss among overweight/obese population?

This is complex issue. Advocates of the plus-size movement argue that it promotes body positivity, self-acceptance, and challenges societal beauty standards, encouraging individuals to embrace all body types.

On the other hand, critics often raise concerns about the potential health risks associated with excessive weight, including increased risks for conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders.

Body positivity does not mean you turn blind towards the fact. I once watched someone make a statement online demanding two seats because she couldn't fit in one seat. If you need two seats just pay for it. For some people obesity is a genetic conditions and no matter how much they try, they cannot lose weight.
