I believe that cinemas can somewhat remain unique. In order to remain as popular as they are now, they should provide things that you can’t find in your own home. This could be luxury seat, 3D screen or a special event. Theater can also bring a sense of community by organising film festivals etc.

In a way yes because most introverts like myself are happy with it and can watch their movies at home and even on their phone and don't have to spend so much on movie tickets and on other things while in a cinema.

Being in the cinema watching a movie is different and can never be the same as watching the movie at home. The benefit of large screen can not be overemphasized. There is also strength in the large and cheering audience. Cinemas still remain the best places to watch movies.

I'll always want to watch a new release in the theater, if possible. I hate when things go directly to streaming because if it's a great movie, I would prefer to watch it in theaters.

One still cannot achieve something similar to the huge movie experience we would normally get when watching at home. As much as it can get so hard to watch movie in a theater with other people, there is always something magical about going to watch at the theatre. The social aspect, and improved sound and vision quality makes it all fun.

There's nothing that can compare, for me, at least.

I just recognized that The Beekeeper is making an appearance in theaters, a year after its original release.

I had all this time to subscribe to Prime, or even rent it, but I'm paying nearly 3x to see it in theaters tonight (4x with drinks and snacks).

When I was in college, I used to go to theater every week. These days I go once in a couple of months.

I agree with you. Good movies are still watched in theatres. I also used to go often but not now due to some reasons. But I still believed that the cinemas look for ways to keep movie-goers interested in going to the theaters.
