off-topic Insurance for Car Repair

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
It's true! It's a very good insurance policy to buy. I've had a vehicle service contract with a particular car insurance company for 2 years now and it has been a lifesaver. So far so good, I've had no issues with my car repairs. I've been able to use it like five or six times and the process was seamless. It's a very good insurance policy to buy because it gives you peace of mind and it is also worth every penny you put into it.

I buy new every 5 years and am covered by the standard warranties. I've had no issues with Toyota honoring the warranties, or even parts giving out on me before their warranty was up. Suffice it to say, that Toyota is the gold standard here in Japan.

However, if I were to buy used, I would definitely balance the dealership's warranty with the repair insurance policies offered. If the price made sense with what could happen, it would be a definite purchase.

Just read the fine print because you could seize an engine by going through water and it not be covered due to negligence or something.

Remember, insurance companies like to get out of paying as much as they can, as their business operates on money coming in, not insurance claims payments going out for repairs, or they don't have a sustainable business model.
