I think the popularity about Michael Jackson was a significant force multiplier in trying to clean the world from the ideas of racism. His struggles actually helped to bring forth the kind of atrocities that has been purported in the garb of racism.

Music has a huge impact in a community or even the state. We cannot deny the impact of Michael Jackson's music on racial barriers. His music and message centered on unity and it really caught across borders.

Another powerful example is the Jamaican Bob Marley’s influence in the civil rights movement in his country. I can go on and on with names of musical artists that have made tremendous impact in the world and pushed boundaries using their musical talents.

There are many instances where music has made a significant impact on society, as Reelz said above, Michal Jackson is a perfect example as a lot of his music was based on raising awareness on issues that were affecting the world at the time and it got a lot of people around the world to realize which was where we saw the impact from that music.

Yeah, no doubt music helped pave the way for changes in attitude. In fact, the US is so different, Trump and Musk can do only so much to turn things back.

Wyclef Jean collaborated with a host of global music artists to remake the song, "We are the world". The funds raised hundreds of millions to help rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake. That's one huge impact of music on society.

I acknowledge the contribution of both these great artists, they changed the way people looked at each other. And though racism still exists and will continue to do so, it has helped a lot of people see humans as humans, beyond their skin colors. Music has not just addressed racism but also talked about human made land boundaries and the amount of blood shed fighting for borders and pieces of land.

There is no doubt that music is great and we have seen great artists like Michael Jackson and Bob Marley use their platform to promote unity and challenge social injustice. That is how powerful music is.
