Being a DJ used to be a really big thing some 15 years back. It was a profession that was somewhat restricted and highly specialised. It seems the DJ thing has been watered down now. What is the role of a DJ in music ecosystem now? Is it still significant?

Whenever it comes to live performances and festivals, DJs play a very vital role. They are experts in reading the crowds and creating unique experiences. They are pretty much needed in the music industry.

With the way live performances are becoming a thing, don't you think that the rank of DJs has rather grown higher? A lot of the issues that we have right now are that not many are willing to even become serious with the profession again and that's a big challenge.
