discuss How does education shape societal values and norms?

Education has a powerful influence on any given society. Educationists and schools have control over the type of attitude they put in their students through their teaching. Notably, education is one thing i think would erase social barriers in the public. What do you think?

One thing I would like education to influence is to prepare us for becoming the effective change-makers. If we do this, it will assist in carrying out social justice.

So even though education plays a major role of shaping societal values, I strongly believe that we need to upheld traditions and norms too. School curricula should in fact concentrate on this knowledge and these skills, not the other way round. This way we can maintain unity within our society.

I do not think education shapes societal values and norms. Actually education teaches people to go against societal value, traditional norms. Becoming educated means you will start questioning what the society always taught you.
