I've been in a relationship with someone who was very obsessed with me. She was also possessive too. I didn't have any kind of privacy in the relationship. It felt like I was drowning at times. I tried managing in the relationship but it wasn't working. I had to end it and move on. It was difficult for her to let go but she eventually did.

How do you handle an obsessive relationship?

It was hard to manage. I experienced it too having a possessive boyfriend. He doesn't want me to talk to other guys despite they're my friends. He's also a jealous type and I felt suffocated so I told him to part ways. He was mad and was about to strike me. He was a black belter and sometimes felt afraid of him. I was able to break free.

I absolutely regret your experience of going through that. To go through such situations, you need to establish a boundary and take personal care as a priority. Ending such relationship becomes necessary if needed.

Letting the other party know their boundaries is crucial. I wouldn't agree otherwise because it is what can help the affected person to have some sanity in terms of how their partner pokenose into what he or she is doing.
