A lot of us are spending too many hours in the digital world, we spend ours on social media, we spend hours playing video games, etc. As we continue to spend many hours in the digital world, we are spending less hours in the real word. How do we maintain a balance between our digital; life and a real life? How do we spend less time in the digital world and more time in the real world?

It's not a difficult thing for me to do. Once I have the intention to maintain a balance. I will go all out for it. So, it's doable, just make sure you have the willpower to make a balance between the two. If you find yourself hooked to social media or any digital stuff, you can balance it up with cooking or any kind of hobby..

It is important to maintain a balance between digital life and real life. However, digital economy has become our reality. There is hardly anything that we can do without digital technology even though it has side effects. Personally, I have not really set a limit for my screen time. But I do take a short break from time to time to move around. This reduces the strain on my eyes.

Don't you think it is really difficult to set a time frame for your screen time? Even when you set a time frame, how do you make sure you strictly follow it. Can you just stop in the middle of the video you are watching just because your 30 minutes time for youtube has passed?

I scheduled time for each and I try to stick to it and I don't allow each takes away other time
Can you stop watching the video you were watching just because your scheduled time has ended? Can you just close your social page right after you have exhausted your schedule time. If you can I applaud you

I spend max time on myself and stay indoors and remaining time at my work. I am not spending so much time on social networking websites and that's helping me stay productive.

I work online as a freelancer, which means I often spend a lot of time in front of a laptop. This can be draining, so I make it a point to take breaks and go to the beach with my two beautiful dogs. Being outdoors helps me soak up some sunshine and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the calming sound of the waves. It's a great way to relax and recharge.

The will power to maintain a balance is very important here. This is why it is critical to set a realistic goal and boundaries if you really want to achieve something meaningful. What I do basically is to set aside hours that I would not be without my devices. I could even do it for days to create a balance with real life activities. What strategy really works best for you?

Yes! No one can deny the fact that digital technology is part and parcel of our lives and that is why we need to take into account self care and take regular breaks because spending too much time on the screen can take its toll on our mental and physical health. So, I try to implement a ‘no screen policy” where I will do away with my devices for days or hours depending on my plan.
For me l manage my time accordingly. Every bit of activity in my life has its own time allocated for that.
Allocating specific times for activities is definitely a very good approach which I might also look into in the meantime, but the only setbacks in this is that life is very unpredictable and there's bound to be a shift in the set time, which brings me to flexibility issues. I'm curious, do you have any flexibility approach?

Balancing digital life with real life could be a really hard thing to do, especially when you are addicted to electronic gadgets. People should realize that socializing is a very important part of one's life. Unfortunately, we live in a world where many people are self-centered.

I can't restrict my digital life. I practically live in the digital space. I work online and I spend over 12 hours online every day. However, when I am not working, I spend time with my kids and spouse. I even tale breaks form work to cook, read books, go for a walk, etc.

To be honest here, it is very difficult to achieve a balance because it seems our digital life has taken a major part of our life( everyone is guilty of this) most of the people spend a larger portion of their time on social media. What I do is set boundaries and I take breaks from social media sometimes to have time for my family.

After certain point of initial excitement, internet no longer fascinates me. I only use it to aid me where I get stuck in my real life or work online. I have a real life which I make very happening so that I don't waste time in front of a screen unnecessarily. I have activities like swimming, jogging, walking, cycling, movies, sports, parties and the like to keep me social enough in real life. The rest of the time is spent cooking and with family. I also keep these activities on rotational basis so that I don't get exhausted or bored.
