One can be physically abused by their parents or spouse. Physical abuse can also come in many forms. As an adult, can you remember incidents where you were physically abused? How did you get to overcome such an experience?

Thankfully no. My parents, despite being old schooled in raising kids (where hitting kids was part of discipline program) never hit their kids.
As an adult, a tax collector slapped me. I immediately called the cops on him. What happened? He wanted to get a mandatory levy from me. I told him to come back in an hour time and walked away to continue with my work. He said I disrespected him and walked out on him. After calling the cops, he had to beg not to be charged.
I have experienced physical abuse before and it was a very terrible one. I felt cheated and I couldn't fight back because I was overpowered.
This is terrible. How was the experience like and did you push on it on how to get justice for what they've done to you?
