Since COVID till now, a lot of people have been forced to lose their jobs as a result of forceful layoffs because the companies they are working for couldn't meet up with paying their salaries.

This have a lot of psychological and mental breakdown effects on those who are affected that couldn't get a new jobs as quickly as possible.

Have you ever gone through forced layoffs?

I have but it was long before COVID.

I was a corporate security officer for BCBS Healthcare. I was a swing shift officer. There were two day shift officers, one was the manager and the other was an officer.

We worked for one contractor that lost its bid and another contractor took over afterwards. After getting us to stay with the new one, the new contractor decided that two officers on days was too much and since both of them had been there for over 10 years, they moved the officer to swing and laid me off.

I think it was evil of them to persuade me to join their company and then lay me off.

Then, after I submitted an unemployment claim, they sent me to another worksite 1.5 hours away from where I live.

Needless to say, I left that company for a different company and I hope that company fails. LOL
