Reddit is one of the most popular social media like forum with so many subreddits on different subjects. Those who are fed up with using social media sites normally make their way back to using Reddit.

There are rules on Reddit. If you breach them, your account will be banned. Each subreddits can ban you individually for breaking their sub's rules and Reddit can ban your account permanently from using Reddit generally.

I have been suspended from subreddits multiple times even when I try to follow the rules. What What is more important on Reddit is to avoid posting links and marketing your products there. Also, don't post too often.

I don't even understand Reddit at all. A client contacted me to help her make posts for her with my account on her reddit page. They banned her and banned me too. I didn't even understand why.

I've received warnings from certain subreddits. Once I get one, I'm done with the subreddit because I don't have time for their BS.

My main Reddit account have never been banned. The only accounts which I make use of that have been banned are decoy accounts that I work with some of my clients.

This will likely have your main Reddit account banned if you're more using VPN for the work you're doing with the other accounts. I hope you're doing so with a VPN.

I've been banned from a small (relatively speaking) financial sub for asking about the wrong ticker symbols.

I understand the reason behind it, and I probably should've read the rules first, but the moderator should've unbanned me after a review. Instead, they just said "it's automatic" and hinted towards them not knowing how to undo the auto moderator actions.

So, I had to make a 2nd account to access it again because it was privated or something.

Not a big deal as I learned what I could there and bounced shortly thereafter.

Yeah, I do make use of VPN whenever I'm working with those Reddit accounts. The accounts still get banned when the client I'm working for mess up the login with his own different VPN logins.

I had a similar experience with Bybit cryptocurrency exchange site. I was automatically suspended from using their P2P service based on their algorithm tagging my account as a high risk. I don't know what they mean by that but I assume it's something to do with suspicious activity.

I presented every transaction I've had with their P2P without having any negative reviews but their support told me the ban was permanent and can't be changed.

Not to get too off topic, but this is like a service-occurrence for me at times, even with having pre-verified with IDs and whatnot. I'm pretty sure it has to do with me VPN hopping, at times doing so because I know it's a way around, as I'm using a Stateside address while accessing services abroad.

Funny enough, I never used VPN accessing the app because I knew from the beginning that it was against their TOS which stated that your account will be banned permanently. How they had my account only suspended from using their P2P features but can use other features is surprising.

One of my TVs is kill-switched through a US VPN so that, in my case, Netflix ever decides on cracking down on overseas access, the TV has only ever been fingerprinted in the US.

My theory is just if they implement blocking, we will know they know, and have enough data collectively to know how they knew. Or if not that, the VPN services will definitely know so they can get an advertising edge by offering premium unblocking services that work post-blocking.

I'm 100% sure that they know and have all information about what's going on but because they don't care believing that you don't have any choice, they will give you only the information they see fit and withhold whatever they desire. You can cry wolf for all they care and if you're no longer interested in using their services, you can walk away. PayPal account behaves that way too.

There will be a notification in your account when they ban it. They always leave a reason for the ban and give an opportunity to appeal the ban if you think it was done in error.

I have not been banned but I had a row with a user over my content theft and I was so frustrated that I deleted my account. That was many years ago. I did create another account later but I was never active.

What's the nature of your content that was stolen? Where did you publish the content first before it was stolen? I've seen some people lifting and copying other people's content from one sub to another.

It was a story published on the newspaper. This user copied the entire story from the digital version of the newspaper and republished on Reddit. I told him that he was infringing intellectual rights, he responded with offensive words. I was pissed and I left Reddit. Content theft is a common problem

I see anyone copying and pasting as being very poor in knowledge and creativity. How would anyone be so proud of behaving in such a senseless manner?

I have an account on Reddit and have had for a while now. I tend to use Reddit more so for finding solutions to issues I have run into more than anything else but I have been known to post in sub-reddits on a few occasions.

I am always cautious when I post in different sub-reddits as I know that each one has their own rules and some of them are so strict, you could break them without even realizing that it was a rule.

I have never been banned on Reddit or any sub-reddit so far and I hope to keep it that way

It happens a lot on social media as well, but when a website does it, you can easily send their host C&D. Some people thrive on copying as they don't have anything else better to do.

They are the advances illiterates because they know what to do but they choose to be lazy about it and copy other people's effort as their own.

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s lazy. They lack creativity and don’t know how to be authentic.

There are some people in this world that strive to be unique and authentic where others thrive on copying others. It’s stupid, but copycats tend to do it for attention as they lack the willingness and drive to do it on their own.
