The movie happens in the summer camp to be more specific. Camp Crystal Lake. A few young people arrive at the camp but they still remain unaware of the fact that there exists a bad person in the wood, waiting to deal with people he comes across.

The bad person is a lady named Mrs. Voorhees. She’s very angry because her son named Jason died at the camp several years back. She wants revenge and will do anything to get rid of anyone that she sees as a threat.

The movie is very effective in creating nervousness and fear. The audio is horror and the manner in which the movie is shot gives you the real life experience throughout the scenes.

I had to rate this movie 5 stars, one of the ultimate, if not the ultimate ever horror film! I remember watching this for the first time when I was super young, probably as young as 5 or 6, and I remember having nightmares for weeks on end. Some of the jump scenes are truly horrific, even for adults, so you can only imagine just how scared a literal child was.
