Whats the difference between Fascism and New/Neo Fascism?

I have been trying to look up on the internet for so many days and I simply dont understand. there is a national controvery in our country with one party listing out which opposition parties are fascist and neo-fascist in our political landscape.

Anyone, who can explain this difference in simple terms?

Fascism is not truly a political ideology. It was a policy adopted by Italian dictator Mussolini. Some of the characters of Fascism are dictatorial leadership with militarism, suppression of opposition, and a natural social hierarchy. People or politicians who try to practice this kind of governance can be termed neo Fascist. I think Putin is the guy.

Fascism and Neo-Fascism in approach are different but not in ideology. Fascism is essentially authoritarian, while Neo-Fascism pretends to be a democracy, disguising its true intentions.

It may easily be termed as wolf in sheep's clothing, exploiting democratic freedoms to undermine them. While classical Fascism drew all the criticism for its apparent authoritarianism, Neo-Fascism, with much more indirect methods, poses as a threat to modern democracy.

Elon Musk is throwing a lot of dog whistles to the new Fascism. It's very creepy and it's effecting the sales of his cars, making them plummet.

Anyway, I don't think this new Fascism is going to go far in the USA (regarding coming elections). There are too many people with government jobs and needing government aid.
