Since Erik ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United, he has been out of job until now. He's going to become new Bayer Leverkusen head coach which have been confirmed.

Bayer Leverkusen offered him a two year contract deal until June 2027 which is going to be signed on Monday.

Even with Ajax having wanted to hire Ten Hag again, he choose Bayer Leverkusen which will see him replace Xabi Alonso next season.

It's not like he's gonna be out of job for long, he still has an impressive career as a coach, his Man United stint notwithstanding. Hopefully he can make Leverkusen compete again next season.
Soccer coaches don't really stay out of job for a long time. There is always a club that would sack their own coach. When once you break into mainstream recognition as a soccer coach, you would always have offers to coach across the world.

Ten Hag would do well in Bayern Leverkusen. He is a very good coach. He shouldn't have taken the Manchester United job at the time he did. That's job really dented his reputation but he has a chance now to redeem himself at Leverkusen. Kompany should brace up now because he has got real competition.
If you ask me, he was successful in Manchester United. He won 2 trophies in 2 seasons before he was sacked half way in his 3rd season.

His job wasn't a failure in Manchester United.

There is no way that you would say that he did a good job at United. A fluke FA Cup win is not enough to justify Ten Hag's failure at Manchester United. Man was backed by the board and spent lots of money to sign players. None of his signings turned out good. That's a capital failure for a coach. And he laid the foundation for Manchester United having their worst ever season in the just concluded season.
