Don't trust it, and don't trust Ground.News not to be a little algorithmic bias (or take part in a little "payola" to balance some stuff out to shift clicks over).

I follow independent journalists for my news and check more than one source for a more balanced coverage.

If you give control of your media to private citizens who have an agenda which is at odds with the majority of the population, anticipate those individuals using their platforms to tell you what they wants you to THINK. Not what the want you to know, what they want you to THINK.

You have to admit that Community Notes is much better now as it will allow the community to note both sides and not be biased toward just one.

But for your reasons stated, that's why I follow independent journalists and check both sides to get the full picture. Harry Sisson is just too easy to debunk, so I had to name-drop him.

Most of the mainstream news outlets are controlled by six corporations. They all have an agenda to push, whether that's left or right, labour or tory, republican or democrat. The interesting thing though is that all of these outlets are in the business of making money. You can't trust news services who have a main goal of making money. This is where click-bait comes from, especially with the demise of news media.

I like the free local newspapers, too.

I mainly rely on ex-foreign intelligence folks for foreign news. The people who were there (military or intelligence) are the ones who know what's going on, all the others just have an opinion.

I always believe that every mainstream media agency has a side it aligns towards based on the orientation of the people in control of the media. Some align to a particular interest. That's why you don't expect a complete independent reportage from any mainstream media house.

Same here. A lot of the mainstream media is hyped and not accurate. I always do my own research.
