Mp3 players used to be all the craze when I was in middle and high school. I remember seeing people with iPods and Zunes, even cheaper MP3 players too. I used to have a USB one that could only hold a couple of songs, I got this in 2000. I currently have a new one that also has a built in radio too. I use it at work since we're allowed to listen to music while working. It helps me get through the day, I actually own two but the other one I was using was very glitchy and only played music in mono. Do you still own a MP3 player and do you use it?

I still have my very first iPod (5th Generation with video playback) that I got as a graduation present from my dad.

It still works, but there are a few lines on the screen, nothing to interrupt video too much. But, for obvious reasons, I don't carry it with me and haven't touched it in a long time.

That's a blast from the past. I still have an old MP3 player which I hardly use anymore. However with smartphones checking music via streaming or listening to podcasts has never been easier. Nonetheless, I think that it is better to have an independent device for MP3 player.

definitely not, in fact I might buy one just to have it as a collection for old times' sake, but clearly I no longer use an MP3 player.

If you're a collector, doing that isn't a bad idea. It will keep so much memories of what added so much value in your life some years ago. You should be able to get it from ebay.

I still have an iPod but its broken cause the screen is cracked to high hell lol
If it's possible to fix the screen, would you be willing to pay for it to be done?
I know that I have an MP3 player still lying around in storage somewhere, but I have not used it in years. I do wonder, though, if I were to dig it out of storage, what I would find on it in terms of music.

My daughter still has an iPod, but she does not use it, just keeps it in storage.
They are a thing of memories now. It's going to be hard for MP3 music players to topple how good streaming services are now.

i hope tat i have one, but unfortunately, my old one has been broken
Repairing MP3 music players looks like a waste of time, it's why I believe most people are not interested in fixing their own once it breaks.
I still own one old iPod but I've not been using it for quite a long time due to the rise of smartphones. MP3 players have become so obsolete because of the emergence of smartphones as they can handle all the functions of the MP3 players.
You're right. Smartphones can handle all the functions of the MP3 player and also do more on top of it.

With stuff like Spotify now, there's no real need to get it fixed. I normally don't download music anymore.

Ah, the days of MP3 players! I recall the cultural impact of the iPod and the various competitors. It's interesting to hear you still find your dedicated player useful at work. It's a testament to their focused functionality.
