I can’t help but feel for some villains that have had it tough. These ones can be victims of circumstances, it’s not that they are actually evil. That is why the best movie to me is the one that Protagonist later partnered with villains, or at least they did not finish off as enemies.

Do you sometimes have a soft spot for villains?

Yes, but if I have any sort of feeling for the villains, they're typically not villains. Instead, the characters would be classified as anti-heroes or anti-villains.

The anti-hero does the right thing, but not necessarily for the right reasons. Whereas the anti-villain does the wrong thing, but their reasons are often understandable.

Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, is a great example of an anti-hero because he usually does the right thing, but his reasons are often selfish or for some sort of personal gain. On the other hand, Arthur Fleck as the Joker is a good example of an anti-villain. Even though he ultimately makes bad choices, especially the end of Joker during the interview, you can understand how the way he was treated led him to take that action.

I can't think of a true villain who I would feel sorry for.

It depends on the villain and what they are trying to do. Take for instance, the mad Titian Thanos is one villain I came to have a soft spot for because when I looked at what he was trying to achieve or even achieved in Avengers : Infinity Wars, you can understand his logic because he was trying to prevent what happened to his planet from happening all over the world.

A lot of people might argue about the way he choose to meet his goals being too drastic but I don't see any other way for him to do so.

That is funny because somehow, I also feel that I can relate with Thanos. He wanted things to get better, but the manner he went about it was questionable.

I don't think there any other better way which Thanos could have achieved his goal better than the way he did. He gave half the world a quick and painless death with using all the infinity stones unlike the way he used to do it through war.

If the villain is the product of wrong doings of the society, for instance, he was abused as a child, or his kins were killed, I feel sorry for the villain.

The joker is a very perfect example of a villain you're talking about. I not only feel sorry for him but also love him very much too. I've been using him as my wallpaper for a while.

Some villains aren't all bad. They exhibit some bad characteristics because they’ve have had tough lives or bad things happen to them. I have watched a couple of moves that shows the soft sides of vallains. Think of Magneto or Darth Vader. They weren't always bad.
Magneto flip-flopped too much for my liking. He was always the bad guy who would then turn good at the end of every X-men movie. If he did it once in one movie, that might have been fine with me. But he did it in every movie and that got annoying fast.
