When it comes to road trips, everyone has their own preference. Do you enjoy the freedom and control of being behind the wheel, or do you prefer the relaxed experience of being a passenger? On short trips, I don't mind doing the driving but on extremely long road trips, I prefer being the passenger as I can enjoy the scenery and relax. What about you?

I hate driving, so I prefer to be the passenger. I will go short distances, but I lose my concentration and get tired too quickly to go long distances.

I prefer to drive instead of being the passenger. I love to drive and it’s a lot better to me than being a passenger as I’m in control of the car & not someone else.
I also prefer driving. It makes me feel I am in charge and at ease. Driving is enjoyable for me. I always realize that I am more secure and relaxed whenever I am behind the wheel.

I concur to your submission. When on the wheel, I feel relaxed and more comfident than someone driving me. So, i like driving myself because I feel more protected.

I don't like road rage. This is why I prefer to be a passenger. Usually, it is the driver who faces road rage. I live in a city where road rage is a common thing. I live in a really crowded city. So, I would like to avoid driving the car, but sometimes I don't have a choice.

I used to enjoy the back seat but from some time I prefer to drive and enjoy driving. It's fun to drive for a long time when the weather is good.

I can't actually legally drive due to a medical condition (epilepsy) although I have driven before and can actually drive... this being said, I am forever being told that I'm an absolutely terrible backseat driver. I'm a nervous passenger too, constantly worrying that whoever is driving hasn't seen a hazard or isn't going to brake in time for the traffic lights! :ROFLMAO:

I hate driving because I live in the city. It literally takes 30 minutes to an hour to go 5 kilometers.

I'd love to be a passenger, but I'm the only driver of the household. I suppose I'll assume that role...

This is the main reason why I don't like driving around in my city. It's so annoying and frustrating at the same time. Even being a passenger in a car that gets stuck in traffic drives me nuts.

It's only driving on the highway where I can go as fast as 100km/hr I feel comfortable with.

Especially since I love stick shift too. I want a Toyota GR that is manual, but, I just can't see myself driving stick in the city again (last was in like 2008). It would be a constant 1st to 2nd gear, rarely needing to get into 3rd because of so many stop lights and the slow traffic. And when the traffic does let up, because of speed limits, you could go 1, 2, 3, and to 5 or 6 (I am entirely unsure whether it's good or not to skip 4th/5th when it's not needed at those speeds).

I love a nighttime drive at 100kmph+, even in the city on the bypass roads.

We have an expressway that you can easily cruise at 140 and hit 180-220 on in some sections. However, I reserve that for days that aren't as busy because there's always someone with a small truck that'll merge into the passing lane at 40-60kmph when the speed limit is 80kmph, even if you're clearly coming up on them. I'm always on edge when I come up on a small truck when doing over 100kmph for those drivers.

Mehn, after I upgraded to driving automatic, it's very difficult to get back into driving manual. I don't think I'm going to do it again 😂. Although, when I watch them driving such cars in Fast & Furious movies, I get tempted.

It's more peaceful driving at night as long you're not the type of person who sleeps off easily at night because I've seen some drivers fall asleep while on the wheels. It's very crazy.

I prefer to drive a short distance but going on a long-distance trip i would like to be a passenger so i can enjoy every bit of the trip.
Same here, shorter drives are exciting but long drives make me very bored I would rather be the passenger. And it is definitely a good time to do some reading, listen to music or even a simple power nap.
