For many people participating on paid online surveys is a good side hustle. Do you do it, have you done it? If your answer is yes, I would like to ask:

  • Which survey platforms do you use?
  • How much do you earn per month?
  • What’s your average payout per survey?
  • How long does a survey take to complete?
Your experience might help others decide whether surveys are worth their time or not.

I don't participate in online surveys, but one of my buddies does. He probably earns about $250-$400 a month. I'd rather mine crypto instead.
Can you be able to mine $250 to $400 a month in cryptocurrency? I don't think that's possible unless you have heavy tool to mine with.

I don't have the patience to do surveys, if not I would take part in it.

With the pi network and ember app, it might be possible. However, I don't think it's highly possible anymore unless you have the tech to do it. Mining bitcoin and the others were very profitable back in the day though.

It depends on your region. There are regions where you can earn as high as 400 dollars doing the survey. It is clearly dependent on if one can get a particular platform where they get to earn as high as much.

When I was broke, I remember stumbling on paid survey sites.

They advertised anywhere from $0.50 to $10 per completed survey. I tried to knock out as many as I could, with the former $0.50-$1.25 being the "sweet spot" of what was offered.

I want to say I got one payout of their minimum ($10 or $20) before I called it quits. The time it took to complete the surveys distracted me from what I could build for myself to have a better life, i.e., tailor resumes for jobs or go out job hunting by actually meeting the gatekeepers of positions and handing them the resumes.

Also, I could put that time into nice blog posts or creating websites that would consistently make more if I stayed on top of updating them. Though that was in the good ole days of Google when you could rank and get paid a bit better for one piece of content over a longer duration of time. I still think this might be a better route than wasting time on surveys, as, even if you don't get paid for it, you are bettering yourself as a writer and also compiling a portfolio.

My experience with online survey sites is mostly disappointing. I did earn a bit in the past, but the rejection rates, the tedious process of filling the initial data only to be rejected, the scarcity of the surveys, the pay rates and the pay out threshold, all did not appeal to me and therefore I have stopped earning through that means.

It can be a frustrating experience, I must say. You can't even see legit surveys that are going to pay you a few bucks. A lot of them are not going to do what they promised before you started the survey.

There's one survery site called User Interviews, some of their surveys may earn you $50-$150, but I've never used them. I see people discussing them on Reddit. Most of these surveys require an application, then the company will respond to the app. They also require a web cam.

Doing surveys is annoying to me, I'd rather focus my efforts on other things.

I do not take part in online surveys, simply because there aren't any viable ones in my geolocation. This sucks really.
