discuss Do you make money from social media?

A thread covering the latest news on trends, groundbreaking technologies, and digital innovations reshaping the tech landscape.
There are some people that are monetized on social media where others may be still trying to make money through social media. If you've been working on a page or a group on a social media, how long did it take you till your page or group started making money? Is there any particular platform that you lean towards as it brings in a good chunk of income for you?

If you're currently not making any money through social media, do you have any plans to work towards generating a stream of income from social media? If so, what platform are you focusing your attention on to potentially make money from?

As much as I know that you can make money through social media and have seen different methods from writing articles to uploading videos, I have not made any money myself from social media.

I would like to make money from social media at some point but I know it can take time and a lot of patience and dedication and at the moment, I just don't have the time to dedicate but hope to one day.

I have not been able to make money from social media. What I have come to discover about making money from social media is that one needs a large following to be able to achieve any meaningful earning from it. And I am not the social media freak that would actively chase clout to get following.

I have not started to make money from social media, but if you wish to make money through this medium, it takes a lot of time. Although I started a YouTube channel some years back, I haven't taken enough time to work on it due to my busy schedule. YouTube is a better platform because it has reasonable requirements to enter their partnership program.

I do.

I typically earn around $300 to $1,500 a month from Facebook. It's mainly through ads, membership, and performance bonuses.

I make a few hundred a month from YouTube through AdSense and membership.

My strategy? Consistently post every day. If you can't do that, then you really don't want to make money online because that's what it takes and that's what it always will take.

Facebook and Instagram enable small content creators to earn from their stars program, so you don’t need a large following to make money.

However, you do need a large audience in order to unlock their higher monetizing tiers.
Especially their main reels program and content program.

I’m a firm believer those that want to create will create, whether that’s on social media or running a website. Obtaining a large following is all about connecting with your core audience and not about clout chasing.

Yes, YouTube and Facebook. As for time, the matter actually takes some time, and this is normal. Continuity is the basis of success

If you're not ready to be posting everyday on/with your social media accounts, it won't take time before you stop seeing any earnings from them if you used to earn from them. It's not like affiliate marketing where you go and sit down while your affiliate marketing links keeps making money for you.

Yeah.

It's a little harder than passive income but it can a lot better if you work on it.

After 26K followers, 2 MIL views a month, I'm making good money, but I had to work on it, consistently posting daily, for a few years before it took off.

Wow! That's huge! Consistency and dishing out quality content is very important for monetizing your social media. It might take a long time but once you are consistently posting and engaging with your audience, you’ill definitely get there.

I’m currently in the process of getting approved for Facebook’s new content monetization program. Took me about a month or so to get to this point. My page has around 2,700 followers.

Posting in groups is one tactic that’s really helped. It grows a page way faster than just posting on the page itself. It boosts views and seems to trigger the algorithm more.

I’ve also noticed that likes, reposts, and comments on my threads accounts has helped push things further, not just on Facebook, but Instagram too. It seems like they’re connected behind the scenes.

When I started, I was getting around 2K views a day. Now it’s between 10K and 17K daily.

It’s not a huge number yet, but for someone who’s never run a Facebook page before, it’s a pretty good start. I’m Hoping it becomes a solid money-maker in the next month or so.

Keep it up man, it gets easier the more you turn it into a habit.

On Mondays, I schedule posts on FB for a week, as well as IG and others. Then I focus on engagement on the other days. It's nice to have stuff post behind the scenes so you can focus on the social aspects,

Once you start making money, you'll be able to see what's making the most money and you can focus on that sort of content.

I agree about posting in groups and on other pages, AS YOU PAGE in order to get more followers -- just make sure what you post is of extreme value and eye catching.
