discuss Do you feel people are "out to get "politicians they don't like?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
In the political sphere, many are "out to get" Trump, like they were with other Republicans and many Republicans are "out to get" Obama etc. Myself, I think a lot of the "out to get" stuff isn't justified, simply stuff motivated by hate, so I really need proof that what's said is real.
It's painfully obvious with Trump, from the FBI trying to honeypot Trump and Staffers to the countless other allegations like the Trump-Russia Steele dossier, that someone or some organization was out to get him for him to not regain power.

As far as Obama goes, I am only out against him and want him to pay for taking the Constitutional rights away from American citizens by droning them instead of letting them face their due process. As much as I despise their actions, or alleged actions, I support the Constitution. It's argued to have been legal under the Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF), passed by Congreess. However, no law can supersede the Constitution.

Your observation about how people tend to hunt down politicians when they don't like them is right. This actually happens when there is a lack of faith in political figures and the political structure they introduced. So, people show no interest in such political figures even if their policies are good. This is what is happening to Trump right now.

Just like you mentioned, it is normal for politicians holding public offices to have rivals and those who don't like what they are doing. The main thing is for those politicians to do what is right instead of crying about those who are not supporting them.

But a cynic would say Putin is wanting to restore the Russian Empire, as Russia has always been trying to do (assert Russian dominance) thru history.

I mean, how much can this be whitewashed?

The majority of the people are not witch hunting politicians in any way. It is their desires that the politicians they elected into power should serve their interest. And most times, these politicians don't. That's the reason why people antagonize the politicians that they do antagonize.

I feel these days people are not only out to get the politician they don't like but also the people who support the ones they don't like.

IMO, that's a problem for Americans because it's supposed to be a democracy where we have the right to vote for anyone we want without fear of retaliation or punishment. People lose their jobs over who they vote for and that's wrong.
