A lot of people choose not to get tested for a particular illness, in fear of what the results may entail. They are afraid to think of undergoing a surgery, injection or vaccination, whatever their results may necessitate, and in so doing, keep suffering and increasing their problems many folds, to an extend that the ultimate treatment option left is scarier than the previous ones. Do you think this fear is justified especially in serious diseases? Are you one of them?

I only get tested right away because the sooner something is caught, the liklihood it might not get to a serious stage.

Blood work every 3 months and a semi-physical every 6 or so.

Though, I have the luxury of being in a country where medical treatment won't cause you to lose your house. I also have two secondary insurances to cover anything else.

I think some people may be afraid to know, as if they do, and pursue treatment, they could bankrupt themselves with the chance of not even getting better.

But, people can make their own medical decisions.

I have no fear of any possible treatment. I have never done surgery, but when it is necessary, I might under go surgery. I know a lot of people are afraid of possible treatment, and I think their fear is justifiable. However, I believe they must also go through it if there are no alternatives available.
