discuss Do you collect movies?

These days I mostly watch movies online, however, back in the days I used to buy DVDs or even pay for movie downloads to watch offline. When I bought DVDs, I always copied the DVD and stored on my computer. I have quite a huge collection of views and TV shows. Last time I checked my library, it was over 1 TB. Do you collect movies?

I watch all my movies, and shows online. I wish I kept better track of tv shows I previously watched, so I know when there's new seasons.

I remembered more than a decade ago we used go to a cinema shop to purchase DVD copies of the movies we intend to watch. If I go back to my parents place and I comb the store I might still find some, that's if my folks haven't not done away with them.

I do this with a spreadsheet for both movies and TV series as I found myself watching the same movie on many occasions, just not remembering it too much.

I'll check my list before watching a new show or movie, and if I've watched it, rethink whether I want to rewatch it or move on to something else.

As far as my collection of movies goes, it's about 15 DVDs that I keep in the car for the kids in the back. However, they haven't been put to use for a while, ever since we got 4G LTE-5G speeds in 2020. I'm thinking about giving them to a used shop as it's just taking up space now.
