He loves his country, doesn't he? Does he care about Canadians who love their country? 
That's a hard disagree. He doesn't love anything but Trump and the Trump legacy. He care nothing for the people of the United States, only about the perception people have of him.

Well, I think some things are rightfully above the law. For instance, who wouldn't smash someone's car window to save a dying puppy?
I completely reject Trump's position on this matter. He’s trying to justify his actions because I have seen him breaking some laws and having been convicted before makes it a different ball game. It's like he tends to become an authoritarian because of the large amounts of power he has.
I still don't see how he's a convicted felon of that large amount, yet he's not in jail, nor will he probably ever go.

That wouldn't be a crime - at least not here in the UK. We have a lawful excuse defence for crimes. (My brother in law is a police officer).
Besides, that's really not what is being asked here. Is Trump, with his claim that nothing done to 'save' (Messiah complex!) the United States should be illegal.

Everyone with half a brain knows this is not going to happen. Again, Canada "State"'s Constitution would have to reflect free speech and gun ownership rights as seen in the US' Constitution to even be considered to join the Union. I'm unsure of their process to ratify the Constitution there, but if it takes decades for a new clause in the US to pass, changing those key issues would take much longer. It's impossible. I don't know whose rhetoric you're buying into to even think this is a possibility.

Plenty of things will get you put in jail in the UK. And we have - and are proud of our - laws which are designed to protect society from racial hatred. It's not Nazism to punish people who stir up racial hatred. If anything, it’s an attempt to prevent the kind of hate that led to Nazi atrocities in the first place.
I agree that it was bad, but if you compare that to any "mostly peaceful" protest by the left, with the majority going unpunished, it's nothing.
We do as well if the crime is committed due to hatred. But, to call someone X by itself is not a crime, whereas under my impression there, you can't without being jailed.
You would need to assault X and then call them X for it to be a secondary hate crime to assault, making the assault sentencing so much more severe.
It's very rare that people are jailed - for anything! It's a bit of a bone of contention. My brother-in-law in the police, he tells me that the police do huge amounts of work to get people to court and then the courts just let them down massively with piss-poor sentences.
I don't really care about Jan 6, his financial crimes, his senile Archie Bunker comments., Stormy Daniels, etc. but his active pursuit of aggression in Gaza and Canada can't be ignored.

Its almost as if every new demented act outshines the previous demented act. We are at the point where we're desensitised to Presidential misconduct.

This is the first and only time you will hear me agree with Trump but I do agree with what he said there, it's just a case of he feels that following laws do not include him.
I believe that if he had not been elected, he would be in prison now for what he did and he used the run for presidency to prevent himself going to jail which I think is wrong.
