sadness is one of the major symptoms of depression. My father had a severe depression, he was under medication for many years but his conditions was cured when he turned to faith healing. If you have depression, the most important thing is to finding hope in life.
 
Depression is not just sadness. It completely distorts the ability of a person to see any positivity in their situation. For someone that is depressed, life doesn't make any sense to them. That's why people family, friends and relatives should not leave people that are depressed to be by themselves. They can easily degenerate to something worse.
