other Collecting bird feathers

I know two young kids who collect bird feathers with such interest that I realized bird-feather collection as a hobby has been totally overlooked. The most interesting thing about these kids is that they can tell the name of the bird just by looking at the feather! I was so impressed and when I looked at their collection, I realized they had been collecting since such a tender age and from all across the country as their parents travel a lot. Have you ever collected bird-feathers?

I’m familiar with butterfly collecting but don't know anyone who is collecting bird feathers. Collecting feathers sounds interesting,

When I was kid, I liked collecting rooster's feather, I liked seeping these feathers inside my books as a bookmarker. I have also collected peacock feather.
