It is a common sight to see celebrities in almost all the advertisements that we see for obvious reasons: people will be more inclined to buy what is endorsed by their favorite people. However, we see the same celebrities advertising harmful substances like alcohol brands or cigarette brands, how do you think this may impact the young and innocent generation? Is this justifiable?

I don't see them endorsing cigarettes and alcohol that much anymore, though. Are they? I suppose I wouldn't be totally sure since I rarely watch TV anymore.

IMO, they shouldn't endorse it. To me, it sets them up to get sued since everyone is suing for everything these days.

Once Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan was asked why he endorses harmful product. He snapped back, "why don't you ask the government to ban manufacturing harmful products."

Celebrities endorsing harmful products publicly is a big ethical concern. Their influence can shape public behavior, so promoting things like tobacco, junk food, or misleading health products can have serious negative impacts. Many argue celebrities should take responsibility and support healthier, positive choices instead.
